The Facultad de Informática is located at the Montegancedo Campus on the edge of the municipalities of Boadilla del Monte, Pozuelo de Alarcón and Alcorcón. Set in the midst of a green space, the Facultad de Informática has good travel links, especially since the Monteprincipe residential development, right next to the Facultad de Informática, was recently connected to Madrid's Light Railway system.
The Facultad de Informática offers students a number of facilities including 17 lecture theatres, 14 computer suites with a total of 302 workstations, a library with over 28,000 items and a reading room with capacity for 218, a cafeteria, four seminar rooms designed for final-year project defences and conferences, an assembly hall, a documentation centre, a videoconferencing room, a group study room and rooms equipped for laptop use.
The Facultad de Informática's six buildings are set in landscaped grounds, including a recreational area furnished with picnic tables and a lake where students can relax in their leisure time.
This is the UPM's most modern campus and has newly built sports facilities, including a synthetic 7-aside football pitch, basketball court, fitness room and two tennis courts.
