All students must give the Office of the Associate Dean for Research and Postgraduate Programmes prior notice of their intention to attend each seminar.
The seminar offering for the 2009/10 academic year is as follows. All seminars are worth 2 ECTS. Unless otherwise stated, they are all to be held in Seminar Room H1002 (Building 1) from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm.
Attendance of any of these seminars by computing engineering degree students could be recognized as 1 free choice credit.
The above seminars are taught by guest lecturers, giving students the chance to get acquainted with research pursued at other institutions, particularly abroad. Other seminars put students in touch with research going on locally, as they are taught by researchers working at our university attached to recognized research groups.
These seminars are held throughout the academic year. Each seminar has a duration of five days. The five seminars are held on the same day of the week for five consecutive weeks (save minor exceptions). All are worth 1 ECTS. Unless otherwise stated, they are all held in Lecture Theatre A6201 (Building 6) from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm.
