Examinations policy
There are three examination periods throughout the academic year. These are the February, June and September sessions.
- February session: ordinary examinations of 1st-term core and compulsory subjects and mid-year examinations of annual subjects. Students can also apply to sit extraordinary examinations of 2nd-term core and compulsory subjects, as well as annual subjects (if they are repeating the subject). There are no extraordinary examinations of 2nd-term optional and/or free choice subjects in this period.
- June session: ordinary examinations of 2nd-term core and compulsory subjects, as well as end-of-year examinations of annual subjects. Students can also apply to sit extraordinary examinations of 1st-term core and compulsory subjects, as well as annual subjects (if they are repeating the subject). There are no extraordinary examinations of 1st-term optional and/or free choice subjects in this period.
- September session: examinations of all 1st- and 2nd-term subjects.
Extraordinary examinations
Students have the opportunity to sit extraordinary examinations for the core and compulsory subjects that they are repeating in the February and June examination sessions. To do so, students must apply to sit extraordinary examinations:
