Library members can use this catalogue to search the Library's book collections and access user services. Some of the most commonly used services are:
The reading room holds the most commonly used books. These accessible collections are organized by subject areas. Anyone is welcome to consult the Library's collections in the reading room, but loans are confined to library cardholders (university community and other duly accredited users).
Each category of user will have a lending status set out in the UPM Libraries' Lending Policy (in Spanish). Reference works, unauthorized dissertations and any other works that the management for any reason considers should not be allowed out of the reading room are available for perusal but not for loan.
Users will also be able to borrow books from other UPM libraries, either personally or through the Facultad de Informática’s Library Service. There is also a book reservation service. Reservations are attended in strict order of reception. Users can use the UPM’s general catalogue to reserve books online.
Users can also apply to the Library for an interlibrary loan of documents from other centres and institutions outside the UPM.
Library staff will attend any query about the use of Library services, regulations, queries and bibliographic information, etc.
